Welcome to my little corner of the world wild web, lol. I’m Natalia, so happy to have you here. I came up with this idea to create a community for women and those trying to figure out this whole womanhood thing, like myself.
“Trying to figure out this whole
womanhood thing”
A little about me
I was born and bred on the beautiful island of Jamaica by my parents, Patrick and Nadine. I moved to Toronto, CA when I was 16, and it has been a jooourney since then.
I’m a Gen Z. I love photography, journaling, creating journals, and going for walks. I’m an introvert-wannabe extrovert and a creative.
I’m also a Jesus lover, old soul, not really a girly girl (but trying to be), a Fall lover, and a pineapple belongs on pizza kinda girl… I hope you read it the way I wanted it to sound, lol.
Becoming
Here’s my little “Since Becoming a woman” timeline, just for fun.
At 18 years old: I can’t remember much, but I had my first birthday photoshoot.
19 years old: I gave my life to the Lord after delaying for a long time and graduated high school.
20 years old: I started battling with an eating disorder, began hating my body, struggled with my faith, and survived a worldwide pandemic. Praise the Lord, somebody!!
21 years old: Started getting help with my relationship with food, was more confident in my faith, lost two family members, and got my first real big chop.
22 years old: Healed my relationship with food and my body, started school again, went to a different province for the first time, and started my first set of locs.
23 years old: Started my first big-girl job (I guess) and designed my first notebook.
24 years old: Started my blooog and am still figuring life out.
What to expect on here
My aim is that you will realize that we are all basically living the same life.
By that, I mean I hope when you read my blogs, you can see that we experience many of the same things in life — the doubts, insecurities, addictions, need for love, and the ‘I don’t even know what I’m doing with my life’ moments.
I hope you leave my blogs feeling human, curious, inspired, beautiful and seen. I hope to find a safe space in this little community.
